There are many ways to support The Uhuru Foundation through financial contributions or in-kind gifts, especially in support of safe, stable housing for individuals returning from incarceration. Your generosity directly helps provide supportive reentry housing through the Keys to Love program, giving adults a secure place to live while they rebuild their lives. Every gift also strengthens access to mentorship, workforce development, and violence prevention services, ensuring that residents not only have a roof over their heads but real opportunities to achieve long-term stability, independence, and success.

We have several financial options for giving, including:

One-Time Gift: Make a one-time donation to The Uhuru Foundation.

Monthly Giving Program: Consider enrolling in our monthly giving program, making it easy to support the ongoing program services year-round.

Memorial or Honor Gift: Make a gift in memory or in honor of a loved one. Notifying options include a handwritten card.

Matching Gift: Find out if you can double or even triple the impact of your donation. Many corporations match donations made by their employers. It’s as simple as filling out a form with our Tax ID number (84-2733195). Ask your HR department for more information.

IN-KIND GIFTS

Our programs provide justice involved adults and youth with the tools, stability, and support they need to rebuild their lives through workforce development, supportive housing, and long-term mentorship. You can help fuel this work by donating program materials that directly support participants as they work toward employment, independence, and personal growth.

Gift Cards: We welcome $25–$100 Visa gift cards to support participants in our workforce, housing, and mentorship programs. These cards are used as incentives for attendance, completion of job readiness milestones, and consistent engagement in mentoring—reinforcing accountability, motivation, and progress toward long-term stability.
